Lorene K. Phillips

Job Title:

  • Retired in Human Resources

Experience: Lorene retired after a long career in Human Resources. During her employment, she worked for IBM, Dell, Newisys and Pedernales Electric Cooperative.  Her experience includes managing all areas of Human Resources including staffing, employee relations, management and employee development and establishing benefit plans. She has been active in the Austin community as a board member of non-profit organizations that include Girls Empowerment Network, Impact Austin, Communities for Recovery, House of Hope, Austin Humane Society and Chariot.  Additionally, she volunteers with Dress for Success, Center for Child Protection Friends of Christopher Guild, Central Texas Food Bank and other organizations through her church, Northwest Hills United Methodist. Many of her favorite hobbies are golfing, creating jewelry and greeting cards, experimenting with candles and alternative/natural remedies. She also loves to travel and experience different cultures. She is a graduate of Alabama A&M University, Normal, Alabama.
