Volunteer of the Month Carolina Baruzzi: Using Design to Amplify Girl Power Across Texas this Giving Tuesday!

This month, we’re thrilled to highlight our talented volunteer, Carolina Baruzzi. Carolina has been volunteering with Girls Empowerment Network sharing her talent, time, and skills in graphic design with our Marketing Department. Carolina came to Girls Empowerment Network earlier this year and in a short period of time has helped the team create a beautiful designs including our latest and exclusive “Don’t Mess With Texas Girls” t-shirt design for our Bonfire Shop in celebration of Giving Tuesday.

March Volunteer Spotlight - Dr. Eboni L. Calbow

We are so excited to honor and celebrate our March Volunteer of the Month: Dr. Eboni Calbow. Dr. Calbow is a long-time advocate and supporter of Girls Empowerment Network and is the current Girls Empowerment Network's Board of Directors Chair! We were first happily introduced to Dr. Calbow when she worked as a graduate intern in 2007. Since then, she has fundraised for GIRLS, supported our strategic growth and planning, and is an all around outstanding relatable role model.

February Volunteer Spotlight - Michelle Gannod

Michelle is a long-time volunteer, advocate, and supporter of Girls Empowerment Network and we were thrilled that she stepped up and volunteered to be a Spark Kit delivery driver in 2020! Since then, she’s delivered countless Spark Kits and brought so much joy to girls in Houston. Michelle always shows up in style by dressing up in spunky outfits and decorating her car with bright colors (and even a tutu!).
