Work-Study Positions:
Girls Empowerment Network is seeking strong leaders with a passion for girls’ issues to fill a number of university partnership Work-Study positions.
All Work-Study applicants MUST be eligible for the Work-Study program at one of our partner schools: The University of Texas at Austin, University of Houston-Downtown, or St. Edward's University. Additionally, applicants MUST have a Work-Study Verification Award.
Work-Study students must also be committed to the mission of Girls Empowerment Network, be team-oriented, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have reliable transportation. Work-Study positions typically last for the academic school year (fall and spring) and Work-Study Students can work anywhere from 10-30 hours/week, although the number of hours a student is able to work is dependent on their Work-Study Verification Award/the amount of funding they’ve been awarded. Please note: in accordance with UT-Austin’s Work-Study policy, Work-Study students cannot work more than 19 hours/week.
