Marketing Director
Ana Juarez
Education:
Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication and Public Relations & French Studies from University of Texas at El Paso
Experience: Ana has over seven years of experience working in marketing and communications. She combines her profound passion for philanthropy and social issues - especially those that affect women and youth - with her experience in marketing and content strategy. Prior to joining Girls Empowerment Network, Ana worked at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area as the Content Marketing Coordinator, where she led the nonprofit’s marketing strategy and digital presence. Originally from the border region of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, and El Paso, Texas, Ana feels more at home when surrounded by diversity, culture, and Mexican food. She loves embracing her bicultural upbringing and loves exploring different cultures through travel and language.
What I love about Girls Empowerment Network: Women's solidarity has always been a strong value both in my personal and professional life. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a strong and confident mother who, despite cultural differences, family pressures, and insecurities of her own, always empowered me to believe in myself. Knowing that other girls in my community did not have the support system that I did, reinforces my passion for the work of Girls Empowerment Network. I am thrilled to work alongside this team that is providing young girls in our community with the most valuable resource - the knowledge and power to discover their inner strength!
